Pictured below is the installation of the float into the scarfing machine columns. This is just the first phase of the total formation of the machine. Lots of bits and pieces yet to manufacture and assemble for final shipment in July.
Pictured below are Ray and Otis working on the assembly of a hydraulic cylinder. This particular piece is made with 516 grade 70 steel. It was created using three of Doty’s large pieces of machinery: the large turning lathe, the horizontal mill as well as our large CNC lathe. The 28 bolts have 1,000 pounds of torque in each bolt. Pictured below is a titanium valve body. One of the many talented workers at Doty is machining a spherical seat in the bottom of this particular piece for a local customer. Another job completed with quality and on time.
Pictured below is a piece of equipment machined for one of our major customers, Andritz. This particular piece is a valve station cylinder block. It is produced from Gr516 steel. It was meticulously machined on Doty’s Vertical Turret Lathe by Colton, our talented young machinist.
